ABOUT ME AND WHAT I WILL OFFER
About Me
Becoming a celebrant just made sense, as it brings together everything I care about, people, connection, stories, and creating moments that matter.
I’ve always been someone who listens, who’s naturally curious about others, and who loves hearing about people’s lives, the highs, the lows, the ordinary and extraordinary. I ask the kind of questions that help bring those stories to life.
After arranging funerals for loved ones, I saw just how overwhelming it can be to make decisions when you’re grieving or just trying to hold it together. I also realised how important it is to have someone calm and kind by your side, someone who can help shape the service into something truly personal and meaningful. That’s what I aim to offer… a steady, thoughtful presence to help you feel supported and heard.
No matter the occasion, a wedding or a funeral, I’ll take the time to get to know you, understand what matters most, and create a ceremony that reflects your values, your voice, and your unique journey. I don’t work from scripts or templates, I work with you. I live in Glasgow and will cover all of Scotland, and happy to travel and stay in my campervan…any excuse for a weekend away. Just get in touch with any questions.
Weddings
There’s something magical about weddings that I’ve always been drawn to. I love the joy, the nerves, the laughter, and the way every couple has a story that’s completely their own. Being a celebrant lets me step right into that moment with you, helping shape a ceremony that feels relaxed, personal and full of heart. I’m here for the big emotions, the happy tears, the inside jokes, and the chance to create a wedding ceremony that feels like the two of you, not a script from a template.
Being a fully trained, and legally authorised TLC Marriage Officer, you can relax knowing every part of your ceremony, from the romance to the legalities, is in safe hands. I take the role seriously, even while keeping the atmosphere light and joyful, and I will make sure your ceremony feels beautifully crafted, meaningful and memorable. Whether your day is small and intimate or big and bold, my job is to bring professionalism, warmth and a little sparkle to the moment you say “I do.”
Funerals & Life Celebrations
Losing someone is hard. Planning a funeral on top of that can feel like too much. That’s why I’m here, to make the process clearer, calmer, and more personal.
I’ll take the time to sit with you and talk about your loved one, their character, their life, their relationships, and what made them who they were. We’ll discuss music, reflections, poems, moments to include, and ways to involve friends or family if you’d like. Every ceremony is written from scratch, and nothing is ever rushed.
Whether it’s a formal crematorium service, a more relaxed celebration of life, or something completely unique, I’ll help you honour them in a way that feels right to you. I can also offer help writing tributes or guiding family members who wish to speak.
This is your goodbye, and I’ll do everything I can to make it meaningful, respectful, and real.
Renewal of Vows
Whether you’ve been together five years or fifty, a vow renewal is a chance to pause, reflect, and celebrate your love and all you’ve built together.
These ceremonies are personal and flexible. There’s no standard script, no set rules. Want to involve your children or grandchildren? Share your original vows and how you’d update them now? Revisit the story of how you met? We can do all of that and more.
I’ll meet with you both, hear your story, and help shape a ceremony that feels true to your journey. You can include rituals, music, guest readings, or keep it simple and heartfelt, it’s completely up to you.
Naming Ceremonies
A naming ceremony is a beautiful way to welcome a new baby, child, or even a stepchild or adopted child into your life and community. It’s a moment to express your love, your hopes, and your commitment to them as they grow.
These ceremonies can take many forms, like in your home, garden, or a local venue, and can include music, symbolic gestures (like candle lighting or planting a tree), and space for family and friends to play a role. You can appoint guideparents or supporting adults, share promises or blessings, or involve siblings.
I’ll work closely with you to make sure the ceremony reflects your values and feels inclusive, warm, and full of meaning.
